Cinque Ports Mayors' Association

CPMA

The Lord Warden is Admiral Sir George Zambellas KCB DSC ADC, former First Sea Lord.

The next luncheon and AGM is now proposed to be at Faversham on March 7th, further details will be available from the link.

Dear Members,
I have been contacted by Christine Berkshire Jones to ask if CPMA members could provide some feedback on the new design for the Cinque Ports Confederation tie.
If you would be kind enough to let me know which design you prefer (either 1, 2, 3 or 4) and i will feed back to Chris.
Members will have an opportunity to purchase the new tie when the final design is agreed. We will be able to organise this directly with Chris.

Janet has asked me to remind Members that the next CPMA luncheon will be held in Faversham on Saturday 7th March 2026. Details will be finalised in a week or so and Members will be contacted with menus, location etc.
Regards
Paul Thomas - Honorary Secretary

The Crest, adopted by the CPMA is a fine example of a 13th Century seal depicting a ship as built and used by the Cinque Ports in providing a fleet of ships for the Monarch, and combining a Mayoral Mace, a staff of office and a symbol of dignity.

An Inaugural Meeting of the Mayors of the Cinque Ports was held at The Town Hall, New Romney, Kent on 28th November 1979 at 10.30 a.m. to discuss a suggestion put forward by Councillor John Hodgson of Hastings: 'To form a Cinque Ports Mayors' Association to enable those who have met as Mayors of Cinque Ports, or Limbs, to continue the friendships and associations made during their Civic Office, and their involvement in the Confederation of the Cinque Ports, also an Association to promote interest and discussion on the subject of the History and Traditions of the Cinque Ports.
